What is an eBook?

An eBook or Electronic book is a digital equivilent of a printed book. Not to be confused with a particular format but rather an electronic version of a paper book. Some Books are both printed and electronic others are only printed and a few are only available as an eBook. Many ebook publishers provide readers for their own brand or format of eBook. Ebooks are ideal for large volumes that may need to be searched quickly to find specific information. Specific pages can be printed for easy reference. Before deciding whether or not an ebook version is right for you ask youself a few questions. For example will I want to print the entire book? If so consider buying a printed book. Ebooks will never completely replace printed books but for certain topics or uses they are an excellent alternative.
